Moroccan Rose Water Skincare Benefits by Azzedine

With people stuck in doors, the “new normal” is wearing no make-up all day, major clear outs and listening to podcasts. As we are now at home, unable to escape the mirror and the state of our bare skin in the light of day, we find ourselves wondering why we still have this out of date pot of anti-ageing cream in our bathrooms and so, we are turning to beauty blogs for advice.

Imagine our excitement when our True Moroccan Rose Serum was mentioned on “The Guinea Pig” by Fiona Golfar, ex editor-at-large of Vogue for 25 years who now writes for the Telegraph and has her own beauty blog podcast; with her declaring that “It makes me feel lovely. it feels calming.”

She then goes on to ask her co-host, renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr Maryam Zamani, “Is rose calming?  Is rose good?  Should I be using this?”, who simply answers “Yes.  Rose is calming.”

Validation from these two top beauty experts is quite honestly all we’d ever need!  But to elaborate on exactly why roses are so beneficial we’d like to explain exactly why our products are so special:

Each year, through Spring and Summer, the Khalaat M’gouna rose valley in Morocco explodes with wild roses.  Here, our cousin Abdul has a small organisation whereby the local Berber women pick the fresh petals every morning which are then steam distilled by he and his brother.  A system that, unlike mixing oil with water like most, keeps all the magic intact.  Nothing is added or taken away, no chemicals or preservatives, colourings, alcohol or even extra water.  It is 100% raw.

The benefits of rose water in this purest form are perfect for refreshing, hydrating and moisturising the skin.  Its powerful and inflammatory qualities can help skin conditions like excema, sooth irritated skin including sunburn, reduce redness from spots and smooth complexions, even those with rosacea.  Raw Rose Water can be used all through the day as a pick-me-up, perfect for travelling or long days, kind and gentle even on babies and children.

In Morocco it is often used as an eye bath.  Safe and soothing, you can spray directly into the eyes to reduce redness or press soaked cotton pads on closed eyes to rest them and brighten dark circles.

With the beautiful scent of real, fresh roses, it is a natural burst of aromatherapy and rejuvenation.  The scent of a rose has powerful mood enhancing qualities, promoting emotional well-being, happiness and relaxation or as a chemical free perfume, making you and your hair smell luxurious.
